An unlikely trio of virtuosos, this newly formed ensemble sees Finland's jazz piano sensation Iiro Rantala, rising guitar star Marzi Nyman and extraordinary human beatbox talent Felix Zenger join forces for a night of jazz at its most exciting and unpredictable.
Iiro Rantala's unsurpassable skills at the keyboard and flaring showmanship have long been at the helm of the outrageously original Trio Töykeät, Finland's internationally renowned jazz ensemble. Known for his explorations at the crossroads of musical genres, Rantala's New Trio is an exciting collaboration with two of Finland's most dynamic young talents.
Barely 20, Felix Zenger was awarded Artist of the Year honours at the 2007 Funk Awards for his pioneering beatboxing style. Marzi Nyman is one of the leading lights of the new Finnish guitar generation, garnering the coveted Pori Jazz artist of the Year award in 2003.
